Caloplaca lacinulata rediscovered for the lichen flora of South Korea

Abstract

The existence of the lichen species Caloplaca lacinulata (Hue) Zahlbr. (1930) [1931] is confirmed after a gap of about 100 years. The taxon was first described by Hue (1913), growing over granite rocks nearly Seoul. Its rediscovery is documented by a specimen recently collected in Mt. Sorak, extending its distribution within South Korea. A brief description and illustrations are provided for the species. (© 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
